Self-control
When I came home, I came home to two packages of coffee. My husband Mark did a great job of ordering – he ordered pumpkin spice coffee and Cinnamon bun flavors! Sometimes I wonder why in the world he buys things, and other times he completely surprises me by really hitting the nail on the head! Yes, I like the flavored “crap.” It’s good. Unfortunately, coffee has been doing a number on my stomach so I am not sure how much I’m going to be drinking. Over the summer, I quit drinking it, and now when I drink it, it’s giving my stomach a lot of trouble. :S
Anyway, I also came home to another package…
I was pretty sure that this was our wedding album. Yes, 11 months after our wedding… It has finally arrived! Mark wasn’t home yet. I almost ripped it open but I knew that he had brought the package home on his lunch break and refrained from opening it himself so I practiced self-control.
It was really hard. I even checked to see when Mark would be home:
Finally, he came home and we sat down and looked at it together.
The wedding album turned out great. It’s a nice reminder of our big day and the start of our little family.
Our anniversary is October 3rd. Whoever decided to make the first year’s gift “paper” was a lame-o.
But seriously, anyone remember their first anniversary gift and care to share? Mark can use some ideas!
Also, I have a vent about Activia. I don’t know if anyone has tried it – personally I have not, but they have come out with a “dessert” line. Amazingly, they have managed to pack even more sugar in their teeny tiny yogurt containers (only 113 grams) than Yoplait light (which has a larger container). You all might remember how I feel about Yoplait. Basically, I think these things should not be allowed to call themselves yogurt. You know how cheese is regulated and American cheese is usually designated as a “pasteurized cheese product”? Well, Yoplait and Activia should be called “processed gel-like substances.”
People, if you want to be “regular,” why not eat a vegetable or fruit? Or, if you want to eat yogurt, how about you just buy the real thing?
We leave for Nebraska tomorrow but I promise I’ll never leave my soap box
